“Some years ago, I came to be exiled from my homeland in the elemental plane of chaos (I believe this world calls it ‘The Dragon Below’) due to a matter that I have no wish to share with non-Githzerai. I eventually found myself to this plane, battered, lost, and starving. I’d have most likely died, in a filthy ally way in the city of Aundair, had I not been fortunate enough to be rescued by some priests of Aureon. After a long coalescence, I decided to offer my abilities to the scholar priests out of gratitude for their help and respect for what they represent. (While I have no particular interest in the deities they put their belief in, the priests also revere knowledge and skill, which I consider to be admirable)

It was not long before they found a capacity in which I could help them. Besides the duties of normal clergy, the priests also maintain and overseer the grand libraries of Aundair, but during the last war the cities’ libraries were ransacked by multiple invaders and many rare or even priceless tomes and texts were stolen. The priests had recovered some of them, but much more had found their way into the possession of the Great Houses or locked away in private collections, and thus were unattainable by legal means. Now while I do not consider myself a criminal, I have very little care for a law that is used to keep knowledge sealed away from the public, so I began undertaking excursions for the priests to locate and… liberate these texts.”
