We ruled that all the characters should be able to use their weapon as an implement and have battle expertise in it, as well as being able to use their primary stat for at-will attacks. We also ruled that Dilettante powers are lame if you have to wait until Level 11 for them to be useful, and that characters should have extra languages depending on their intelligence.

As a young woman, Harper’s parents engaged her to a big charming hunk of a man. Unfortunately, he had rather stationary ambitions in life (running his own farm chief among them), and Harper never really saw the point of marrying him when it would mean a life of endless chores and boring repetition for her. She didn’t object to getting married, per se, or to her parents’ choice of husband even, she just didn’t want that kind of life for herself. So, she made excuses and ran off to become an adventurer. She was promptly distracted by the glorious life of airship pirates and smugglers, and was working as first mate for her sister in law, Captain Isadora, when she was assigned to accompany some adventurers in retrieving a missing kid from House Cannith.
